Training Programs Can Make it Happen.

Getting the training you need to get a job can seem impossible...but it doesn't need to be, thanks to the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), which was passed by Congress in 1998. It assists individuals—like you—in obtaining a job to become self-sufficient, or to improve income levels.

In compliance with the Workforce Investment Act, various civic, government and business agencies in our area have partnered to form the Workforce Investment Board/Mid Ohio Valley (WIB-MOV). This board oversees a program called WorkForce WV, with centers in each of the eight West Virginia counties that make up WIB-MOV.

Each WorkForce WV Center is staffed by a skilled team of people who will provide information and guidance to help you reach your goals.

The Workforce Investment Act means job training for you.

Basic Skills Training
Computer Training
Job Readiness Training
On-the-Job Training
Technical Training
Vocational Training
Skill Upgrading
Entrepreneurial Training

And while you train, you could qualify for funds for

• Uniforms
